Allison did her homework from a few episodes ago & took the spiritual gifts assement. Taylor guesses what her results were before she reveals her top 6 gifts that God has given her. It leads to a good conversation about using our gifts to build the kingdom, dusting off some unused gifts and finding our place in the Church community.

In the second segment, Taylor talks with Nick Senz who compares some of our Church's greatest saints with NBA legends. It was a fun segment for Taylor because he knows more about NBA stars than saints so we got to hear some great saint stories. Whether you're a fan of the NBA, stories of the saints of both, you'll love this fun conversation.

Allison is back for the final segment to ask some of her favorite "21 questions" to keep him on his toes. The questions range from fun to hitting Taylor like a freight train.

The show kicks off with a hilarious terrible review of Taylor and the show. He tells John what was said about him, who came to his rescue and...how the mean reviewer was...right??? This leads to a discussion on reviewing things in general and how we can use it as a way to shed light into dark places.

Next, they play the new Imitate, Intercess or Ignore game where they each give each other three saints and have to choose what they will do with each. Hilarity and learning a bit about the saints at the same time...and maybe some who didn't actually exist...

Finally, Taylor shares an odd story about some Scripture verses he found in a restroom. It was...strange...to say the least. Enjoy!!!

235: Hail of a Day, Getting Old & New Saints Game w/Allison Sullivan

Taylor & Allison Sullivan had quite a day together last week in our little Texas town. We were both at a local track meet and then there was a mass shooting in town and just when it couldn't get any crazier, it started to hail. They discuss this crazy day and finding some meaning in it. They also lighten the mood with news from Taylor that has Allison in hysterics.

We also introduce a new game called Imitate, Intercess, Ignore. In a Catholic version of a classic game, they each get three saint names and have to decide which category to put each one. This one's a hit y'all!!!

Finally, they have a discussion about getting older and a strange injury Allison accidentally gave herself. We hope you enjoy this laughter filled episode!

In the final segment, they use Jen Fulwiler's Word of the Year generator to find out what their word for 2021 is...and judge their words from previous years. There's also a bit about God saving his people so that's cool too.

143: Saints Game & the Return of Bearded Blevins w/ Leo Gallegos

The Return of the King! Co-host Jonathan "Bearded" Blevins is back after a two month hiatus(cuz he's too cool traveling the world sharing the Gospel smh). We catch up by talking about his trips across the world, including eating hot wings on stage while being interviewed and his trip to Germany. I also yell at him, so there's that.

In the second segment, we're joined by Leo Gallegos to hear his story about how improving his physical wellness did wonders for his personal life, faith and family. In the final segment, Jon and Taylor play a "guess that saint" game with the help of new saint cards from Andy "Shaggy" Korty. These cards are beautiful! They're much better than Jon and Taylor are at this game, that's for sure. Enjoy them both epically fail but one of them, in particular, gets slaughtered at the game.
