Taylor & Fr. Anthony Sciarappa jump right in to discuss their frustrating and difficult past couple of weeks. Taylor can only laugh as he shares the comedy of errors occuring in his life.

Next, they play a brand new game to try and lighten the mood. The game was stolen from social media and we're not exactly sure how it went. You'll either love it or hate it! lol

Then to close the show, they get into a theological discussion of the accidents and substance of the Eucharist. Taylor thought he knew what all this meant until he thought about it for a while. The more he thought, the more confused he became(typical smh). Fr. Anthony answers his questions and shares his expertise in an attempt to help Taylor (and hopefully you) understand one of the central mysteries of our faith.

We talk about how he and Taylor met(including a dino suit, a car wreck and a bar). We also talk about what young adults need most to grow in holiness and feel a part of the Church.

The show wraps up with a conversation on Allison's upcoming live recording of her podcast on the topic of race. We start the discussion on this touchy topic and why we should have these often difficult conversations.

This episode focuses on growing in virtue always, but especially during this focused spiritual season of Lent. Producer Sam shares what virtue truly is and how to grow in it during the first segment.

In the second segment, we are joined by Doug Tooke, the host of the "Renovo" podcast. Taylor recently found his show and loves it! He talks about things you don't typically hear about Catholicism at Church and probably didn't learn as a kid. We found it so interesting finally figuring out who Melchizedek is and why the heck we use candles in prayer. Taylor throws Doug a random topic and he has to explain it in less than two minutes. He is a champ!

In the final segment, Taylor continues to talk about growth in virtue with some help from a new way of looking at why we settle for sin and how we can truly live out the story God has planned for us.

We talk about the launch of season two of her amazing podcast "Sinner, Saint, Sister." While the podcast is geared toward women, Taylor totally digs it and listens religiously. There's definitely something for everyone. Allison is one of the most passionate, fun and holy people we know so you'll enjoy your time with her!

In the final segment, Taylor opens up about his really rough week and the real "spiritual desert" time he went through and how the fog is beginning to lift and what this all has to do with the Lenten season.

Episode 70: Winter Olympics Gold Medalist Curt Tomasevicz, Catholic Films & Starting Lent

Taylor had a cold this week but was helped along with the support of the team and two amazing guests: a Winter Olympics Gold Medalist and a film creator!

The start of the show was hilarious with Taylor trying to get through a segment without hacking up a lung so producers Sam and Macka helped with conversations about the beginning of Lent, an odd Gospel reading and answered prayer.

In the second segment, we are joined by Erin Dooley, the creator of the award winning Christian musical "Broken and Beautiful. (www.brokenandbeautifulmovie.com) The film launched on Ash Wednesday and focuses on five interweaving storylines of people at the same church, all dealing with some major struggle (stress, pornography, etc.).

And finally, we are joined by three time Olympic bobsledder Curt Tomasevicz. He is a die hard Catholic who shares how his faith played a huge role throughout his incredible career. Mardi Gras! Lent is upon us, so let's talk about getting prepared for this great season while also dealing with the reality of stress in our lives. This weekend, I went on a retreat called "Stressed Out" about how to deal with stress as a Christian. I share what I learned over the weekend and how it applies to our Lenten season. We also do a Forte Five countdown segment of the best 5 things I've ever given up for Lent.

I am also joined by the founder of Saint Paul Street Evangelization. He has a great story of how God has worked in his life and also talks about how their ministry works and what they can do to help us grow in our ability to share the Gospel.

This week, we focus on the Scripture in Mass with the introduction of the "Who Was Paying Attention At Mass?" segment about the past Sunday's readings. So often we go to Mass on the weekend and have forgotten what we heard by the next day so we revisit it to help us continue the lesson of the Scriptures throughout the week.

In the second segment, I am joined by the Ragin' Cajun Apologist, Karlo Broussard. Karlo is a southern Louisiana musician turned Catholic apologist and speaker for Catholic Answers. Tune in as we talk about his conversion, share laughs and discuss his newest book on miracles.

Then in the final segment, the "Mass Text" segment returns as we dive into the day's first reading from Sirach and what it tells us about suffering, God's faithfulness and Lent.
