424: Live from New Mexico Mission Trip (Year 2)

For the second summer in a row, Taylor traveled to the Laguna Pueblo in New Mexico to lead worship for a mission trip with Epiphany Youth Ministry from Katy, Tx. It was another incredible week of service & learning about the culture of the local natives.

In this episode, Taylor chats with some of the leaders from the trip, sharing experiences of prayer, mountain adventures, music & closes out the show with a game involving the entire group! The joy in this one is palpable! Enjoy :)

Fr. Anthony Sciarappa cohosts in what may be our fastest paced joke fest ever recorded! We chat about our weekends including a tall hat guy, preaching to plants, angry Taylor, terrible travel and making Fr. Anthony speechless.

Our guest this week is recording artist Amanda Vernon! She's doing great work as the Catholic Alycia Keys through her music and new book "When God Wrecks Your Romance." She somehow gets Fr. Anthony to recall his dating life before the priesthood and it was beautiful to watch unfold. She is an absolute joy with a fun life story to share unlike any you've heard before. (AmandaVernon.com)

In the final segment, we check in to see if Fr. Anthony is giving any good homilies lately and Taylor gets to live the dream of what every lay person has wanted to do during homilies since the dawn of time. Enjoy as you live vicariously though Taylor.

Kyle Heimann is from the Catholic Acoustic Humor Rock group Popple and joins us to talk about how music, comedy and storytelling have an impact on reaching people with the Gospel. Popple performed at my Jr. High Youth Rally when I was in 8th grade and his ministry has been growing since. It was such a pleasure and honor to have him on the air.
