Allison has been hyping up The Shift film for about a year now and was invited to walk the red carpet at the premiere! FANCY! She shares about that experience she shared with her son & discusses Christian art in the public sphere.

Allison also wrote a new talk for Advent and shares some of the highlights from that. Taylor shares what he has been pondering throughout this season of preparation and Allison is shocked by how insightful it was. Taylor was both hurt & happy with this outcome.

Finally, they end the show sharing their differing opinions on Matt Rife's new special. He has been called to be "cancelled" over some of his jokes. Allison agrees, Taylor thinks it might be taking it a bit too far. They talk about where comedy & morality mix & when they clearly don't.

In the rest of the episode, Taylor & Fr. Anthony touch base on how their Advent went, share some Christmas insights and Taylor shares about a funny announcement made before Mass at his parish.

To close the show, they do their new segment "Plane Theology" where Taylor puts Fr. Anthony on the spot with theology questions he got no prep time for. This week's topics include if the Apostles were baptized, if demons can hear our thoughts and if Mary knew.

And also talks about a rare occasion in 2020 where he had too much of a good thing and a difficult decision he had to make. Allison lovingly guides him through this with her motherly love.

The second segment, Allison shares how she's super famous now because of TikTok and how her and her son are going to LA to become actors and why she loves it all so much!

And finally, Taylor shares how he tried really hard to go to Mass and still screwed it up and the difference between waiting and waiting(we promise it will make sense when you watch).

Taylor shares from one of the weirdest weeks he's had in a while that led into Advent. From travel, to being pulled over, to tech difficulties, to being a guest on an atheist's podcast, it was an interesting one for sure. And there's an Advent connection to all of it!

In the second segment, seminarian Travis Crotty joins the show to share what "A Day in the life of a Seminarian" is like to give us a behind the scenes look into preparation for the priesthood. He shares particularly about the media fast he took and its implications for us this Advent season.

In the final segment, we chat about what we are doing for Advent & how it is one of our favorite seasons to draw us back into the life of Christ.
