I grew up in a strong Christian home, and never rebelled from the faith I was raised in. However, I did not experience God’s personal love for me until I went to a youth conference in Grade 12. I grew in my relationship with God and in my witness of my faith when I went to university. I had the privilege of being an active leader in interdenominational evangelical ministries such as InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Campus Crusade for Christ. Through their formation and mission opportunities, my passion to serve the spreading of the Gospel was inflamed. I grew in my conviction that university students were strategic for raising up leaders for the Church.

In 1988, during the last semester of my undergrad, I met André. We shared a heart for campus evangelization. With Fr. Clair Watrin, CSB, we envisioned what an evangelizing Catholic presence on campus could look like. And so in the Fall of 1988 CCO began and we have been privileged to serve alongside amazing missionaries ever since.
